Valentine Love – base version

January 12, 2012

valentine take 2 close up

I have a lovely neighbour who comes around most Friday mornings for a coffee, a natter and some crafting (not necessarily in that order Smile).

Although she was pretty new to crafting when we started our get togethers in November last year she’s a quick learner and created this card at our last coffee break, with only a little help from me.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Valentine Love (W122695 or C122697), Very Vintage (117693)
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy (106574), Riding Hood Red (116205), Brushed Gold (124917, Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Riding Hood Red (111836), Versamark (102283)
Punches: Full Heart (119883)
Other: Cherry Cobbler EP (122949)
Tools: Heat Tool (110197), Wheel Guide (104834)

The card base is a square of Bravo Burgundy matted with Riding Hood Red. A mat of Very Vanilla  was stamped in the centre with the Valentine Love heart in Riding Hood Red. The Wheel Guide was used to wheel the Very Vintage around all the edges, also using Riding Hood Red ink. This was then adhered direct to the card front. After stamping the heart again in Versamark onto Brushed Gold card and heat embossing with Cherry Cobbler ink, it was punched out with the Full Heart and popped up on dimensionals.

I’ll be back tomorrow to show a stepped up version of the same card with some distressing.

Sara xx
