7 days to Valentine’s – day 5

romantic valentine close up

Whoops! Sorry. I was so busy with class yesterday that I forgot to post but don’t worry I’ll make up for it by posting twice today so that there’ll still be 7 days of valentine’s projects.

Today’s card is a romantic one with a vintage look and lots of ribbon.

romantic valentine card

Recipe
Stamp set: Valentine Love (W122695 or C122697)
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler (121681), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Versamark (102283), SU Markers (119806), SU Pastels (120962)
Punches: Full Heart (119883)
1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon: Cherry Cobbler (120992)
Velvet Designer Ribbon: Very Vanilla (125637)
Other: Gold EP (109129), Antique Brads (117273)
Tools: Heat Tool (110197), Color Spritzer Tool (107066), Sponge Daubers (102892)

The base card is an A6 portrait of Cherry Cobbler. A Very Vanilla mat was stamped in the upper right corner with the cherub and along the bottom with the heart border in Versamark and then heat embossed with Gold EP. The edges of the mat were spritzed with Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede Markers and then chalked with Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon and Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon were layered and wrapped around the top left corner of the mat and pinched together in the centre with an Antique Brad. This layer was popped up on dimensionals on the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark onto Very Vanilla card, heat embossed with Gold EP and punched out with the Full Heart. This was spritzed and chalked as for the card front layer and then Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon was pleated behind the heart, securing it with Sticky Strip. The ribbon framed heart was popped up on dimensionals on the card front.
