Mother’s Day from son to Mum

ransom close up

Well, my Mum loved the Mother’s Day card yesterday and I was so pleased that she recognised the work and love that went into it.

So here’s the Mother’s Day card that DH made for his Mum. He definitely likes tongue in cheek and he wanted to get our dog, Bess in on the act too Laughing

The idea and the actual creation were all down to him and I’m pleased to say that Mari liked it and saw the funny side.

Stamp sets: Easy Events (W116958 or C123225), Delightful Dozen (W122650 or C122652), For My Family (W124403 or C124405), Just Believe (W116948 or C120453), Tags Til Christmas (W120847 or C121169), Party This Way (W118744 or C120609), Jolly Jingles (120864), Curly Cute (W117014 or C120510)
Cardstock: Real Red (106578), Basic Black (121688) Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Basic Black (101179)

The card base is an A6 portrait of Real Red matted with Very Vanilla and then Basic Black card. To make the “ransom demand” he stamped various words/letters onto Very Vanilla card with Basic Black ink, cut them out and then pieced them together, adhering them direct to the card front.

Stamp sets:  Teeny Tiny Wishes (W115370), P is for Paw (115620)
Cardstock: Real Red (106578), Basic Black (121688) Very Vanilla (106550)

On the inside, is a pic of Bess, eating a scone (try getting that pic before she wolfs it down!), matted onto Basic Black card and then the Very Vanilla insert. The sentiment and the paws were stamped in Basic Black ink.

It was a fun card and totally fits with DH’s style.
