Sale-a-bration countdown – 4 days to go!

Mojo 234 close up

Carrying on with our Sale-a-bration countdown, I’m back today with the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set and the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment DSP. Now I have to admit that I’m not really sure about this sentiment, it’s not something that I’d normally send, but when I popped over for a look at the Mojo Monday sketch, it sorta called out to me.

I love the Mojo Monday sketches for inspiration and it’s an absolute age since I played along. Lucky me, this week it’s a choice of round or square.

Mojo 234 sketch

I almost always do standard card shapes and sizes (must do something about that  Laughing) but this choice always prompts me to go for round. Now although SU! have a range of Circle punches and a Circles die, I couldn’t quite get the in between sizes of circles that I needed, so I used another brand of circle dies to supplement what I had. I love how my Big Shot will work with other die cutting systems – no need to buy another machine.

And here’s the finished card.

The card base is two Scallop Circles die cut from Poppy Parade card and adhered along the top 8 scallops. Three different Poppy Parade papers were selected from the set, cut into strips, adhered to some Very Vanilla card and run through the Big Shot with a large circle die. This layer was popped up on dimensionals on the card front. The flower and matching sentiment from the Sprinkled Expressions set were stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto Very Vanilla card. The flower was die cut with a circle and adhered direct to a 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle punched from Poppy Parade card. After punching the sentiment with the 1-1/4″ Circle, it was adhered direct to a 1-3/8 Circle punched from Poppy Parade card. A faux bow of Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon was secured to the top of the sentiment with a Poppy Parade Glimmer Brad. These were then popped up on the card front with more dimensionals.
