Sale-a-bration countdown – 1 day to go!

March 30, 2012

covered jotter close up

We’re so very close to the end of our 2012 Sale-a-bration now. I’m afraid you’ve now missed the deadline for getting hold of an extra stamp set with your starter kit and I need to receive your order and payment by 7pm tomorrow, if there’s still  a Sale-a-bration freebie you’d like to get hold of.

The Sale-a-bration product that I’ve chosen to focus on today, is the Everyday Enchantment DSP. This is the first time that Stampin’ Up! have offered DSP as part of the Sale-a-bration items in the UK and it’s been a huge hit. I’ve been using small portions of it in my card projects for the last few months but today I decided to cut into it a little more and use it to alter a couple of items.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Posy Punch (W122480 or C122482) (Hostess set)
Cardstock: Lucky Limeade (124388), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Pool Party (122938), Poppy Parade (119782)
DSP: Everyday Enchantment (126154) (Free Sale-a-bration product)
Punches:  Fancy Flower (118073), 1″ Circle (119868)
Seam Binding Ribbon: Pear Pizzazz (122330)
Bigz L Die: Perfect Pennants (123126)
Tools: Big Shot (113439)
Non-SU: Value range jotter and pen

The jotter was covered with a strip of Everyday Enchantment DSP cut to size. Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon (not quite a match to the Lucky Limeade used in the DSP pattern but close enough) was tied in a bow around the top cover of the jotter. A medallion was die cut from Lucky Limeade card using the Perfect Pennants die and the Big Shot. The Hello sentiment from the Posy Punch set was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Poppy Parade ink and punched out with the 1″ Circle. The solid flower from the same set was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Pool Party ink and punched out with the Fancy Flower. These layers were adhered direct to the front of the jotter to keep it as flat as possible so that it won’t get damaged jostled around in a bag. A thin strip of matching DSP was rolled around the pen inner and pushed back into the pen case.

The Everyday Enchantment totally transforms a cheap jotter and pen set:

Have a great weekend and if you’d like to place a last minute order and get hold of your Sale-a-bration freebies then please email me or give me a call on 0775 1133886.
