Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

A framed flower

April 16, 2012

Today’s card is a sweet little thank you for one of my customers.

I ordered the Designer Frames embossing folders ages ago and have only just got around to using them recently. (I used the oval one on my hostess invites which I’ll share with you after I’ve held the event Smile).

As usual, I’m wondering why I took so long – they’re so sweet.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Charming (W116519 or C125829), Teeny Tiny Wishes (W115370)
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder (124389), Elegant Eggplant (108614), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Elegant Eggplant (105210)
Markers: Elegant Eggplant (Regals 119701), Old Olive (100079)
Embossing Folders: Square Lattice (119976), Designer Frames (123130)
Tools: Big Shot (113439)

The card base is a small square (fold along the top edge) of Wisteria Wonder that was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder down each side. The embossing goes through both layers – the front and back of the card and gives a pretty effect to the inside as well as the card front. A piece of Elegant Eggplant card was run through the Big Shot with the rectangular Designer Frame and was then cut out around the edge of the embossing. The flower was inked direct to stamp with Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive markers and stamped onto Very Vanilla card before being cut out and adhered direct to the frame. This was popped up on dimensionals on the card front and it was finished by stamping the sentiment directly with Elegant Eggplant ink.

Now, off to see how else to use the frames …

Sara xx
