Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Smart and classy Halloween card

September 16, 2012

If you’d like to make a smart Halloween card but want a more versatile stamp set that you can use year round then you can’t do better than the Button Buddies set.

This fantastic little set has images for all occasions including; halloween, Christmas, birthday, get well, new baby, sorry it’s late and general. Although they’re designed to be fancied up with a button (and rather more special that way) they can easily be stamped just as they are.

Team them up with one of the all occasion stamp sets such as Teeny Tiny Wishes and you’re good to go.

This classy Halloween card starts with a square base card of Basic Gray, matted with the gorgeous Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP (126906) – I love these papers! After colouring the pumpkin from the Button Buddies set (W122735 or C122737) with Pumpkin Pie and Old olive markers direct to stamp, it was huffed on to refresh the ink and stamped onto Very Vanilla card. Window Frames Collection framelits (129021) were used to die cut the image and the Pumpkin Pie frame before adhering direct together then popping up on dimensionals on the card front. The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (W115370) was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto Very Vanilla card before punching out with the Word Window (119849). This was adhered direct to a Modern Label (119849) punched from Basic Gray card and adhered direct (to keep the layers down for posting). A Pumpkin Pie Designer Button (Brights 119747) was adhered to the pumpkin with a glue dot to finish.

Back tomorrow with the Christmas makeover.

Sara xx
