Spring Season Shaker for a Paper Doll

four seasons close up

It’s the birthday of another of my Paper Dolls team mates today. Happy Birthday Joanne! Hope you had a lovely day.

This was the card I gave her to celebrate the occasion – a Spring shaker card:

The card is an A6 portrait of Primrose Petals. A mat of Birds of a Feather DSP (126899) was stamped in the top corners and centre edges with the small flower from the Four Seasons set (W126830 or C126832) using Primrose Petals ink. The mat was trimmed top and bottom with a Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (119275) of Pink Pirouette. A Whisper White panel was stamped with the sentiment from Bring on the Cake (W121899 or C121958) in Primrose Petals ink and the small butterfly a couple of times in Wisteria Wonder ink. This panel was adhered to the DSP mat, trimmed again with Dotted Scallop Ribbon Borders punched from Primrose Petals and tied around with Wisteria Wonder Baker’s Twine (125576) before adhering to the card front. A shaker was created using the large Spring image with Gumball Green ink and stamping off first to get a paler colour. The 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle (118874) and 1″ Circle (119868) were used to punch the aperture and the “confetti” in the centre of the Shaker Frame (124155) is from the punched ribbons. Basic Rhinestones (119246) finished off the centres of the stamped flowers.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from Bring on the Cake was stamped in Primrose Petals ink and more flowers and another butterfly were used to decorate the corner.

The Four Seasons set is a hostess set, only available to those who hold a qualifying workshop and at a special price (£18 for wood mount and £14 for clear mount), reduced from it’s real value. If you host a £250 workshop before 30 May, then you’ll not only earn the usual £40 hostess credit that is a regular hostess benefit but … we’ll give you an extra £25 to spend!

Please email me if you’d like to book a workshop.
