Warmth and Wonder Christmas card

September 11, 2013

warmth and wonder close up

Today’s Christmas card uses an elegant colour combo of Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla. I kept the design quite simple to show off the stamps and the colours.

warmth and wonder

The card base is an A6 portrait of Cherry Cobbler textured (132129). Paper piercing was added to the corners of the card front to add a little extra interest. A large Apothecary Accent (127003) was die cut from Brushed Gold card, stamped with one of the sentiments from Warmth & Wonder (W131880 or C131883) using Early Espresso ink, top and bottom and popped up on dimensionals in the centre of the card. After stamping the tree from the same set onto Very Vanilla card using Early Espresso ink, the baubles were stamped over with Cherry Cobbler ink and then the star stamped at the top with Metallic Gold ink (132141). This was die cut with one of the Ovals Collection (129381) and then matted direct  onto a larger oval of textured Cherry Cobbler. These were then popped up on dimensionals in the centre of the card.

On the Very Vanilla insert, the longer sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and the small reindeer in Early Espresso ink.
