Baby wiped Gently Falling card

Gently Falling is one of my favourite two step stamp sets. It’s versatile enough to use with a range of different techniques, the overstamping is easy because it doesn’t need to be exact and the designs are great for both masculine and feminine cards.

The addition of a little “rugged” Burlap Ribbon here makes this an ideal card for a male birthday Smile

The card base is an A6 landscape of Baked Brown Sugar. A Very Vanilla mat and a small scrap were stamped with the outline leaves from Gently Falling (W128430 or C123804) using Cajun Craze ink. Using the Baby Wipe technique to make a custom “ink pad” with Rich Razzleberry, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana ink refills, the solid leaves were stamped over the top. The mat was adhered to the front of the card and the leaf stamped on the scrap was fussy cut by hand. A piece of Burlap Ribbon (132140) was frayed slightly at the ends and adhered across the front of the card. The hand cut leaf was adhered to one side of the ribbon. After stamping the sentiment from Express Yourself (W130336 or C130339 – a hostess set) onto Very Vanilla card with Cajun Craze ink, it was punched out with the Word Window (119857), matted onto a Modern Label (119849) of Cajun Craze card and adhered to the ribbon (we used Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the ribbon, leaf and sentiment, leaving the card flat whilst the glue dried).

On the Very Vanilla insert, another sentiment and an outline leaf were stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.

If you’d like to see the Baby Wipe technique demonstrated and have chance to earn a package of hostess benefits (which could include the Express Yourself stamp set) then please email me or take a look at my calendar to book a workshop.
