A washi rosette circle card for a Paper Doll

October 15, 2013

Today is another Paper Dolls birthday – Happy Birthday Andrea! –  and so my card is a little more special and uses more tools and materials than usual – well, my team are special and deserve it Laughing.

The base card is two large scallop circles, die cut from Cherry Cobbler textured card using the largest of the Circles Collection framelits (130911). A line was scored across the top of the back circle to create a fold and Multipurpose Liquid Glue used above this fold line to glue the two circles together. After adding a circle mat of Very Vanilla to the card front, this was topped by a Paper Doily Sizzlit (125592) die cut from Cherry Cobbler card. The central rosette was created with Very Vanilla card, Season of Style Washi Tape (132155) the Scallop Trim Border punch (118402) and the 7/8″ Scallop Circle (129404) – I’ll be back with the technique for this within the next few days. Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon (120992) was threaded through a Very Vintage Designer Button (129327), tied in a bow and added to the centre of the rosette with Mini Glue Dots. After stamping the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners (Wood – 132022 or Clear – 126257) onto Very Vanilla card with Cherry Cobbler ink,it was die cut with the Bitty Banner Framelits (129267), matted onto Cherry Cobbler card and trimmed around by hand before adhering to the front of the card.

On the Very Vanilla insert, the sentiment from Perfectly Penned (Wood – 128703 or Clear – 122892) was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Hope that you’ve had a great day Andrea and that you’ve had some pampering along the way.
