January 22, 2014

On to day 8 of our countdown to Sale-a-bration (starts 28 January). Sale-a-bration is our annual Stampin’ Up! party, with loads of free products. This year we’ll have THIRTEEN! different products to choose from and you’ll be able to get one free for every £45 you spend (with no limits to how many you can collect – spend £90, get 2 freebies etc). I’m showcasing a different SAB freebie every day in my countdown.

Today’s Twisty Treats kit is another great way to introduce your non-crafting friends to the bug and get them hooked. Book your workshop now and have a fun girls night in!

The kit comes complete with 12 cellophane bags ready printed with white spots, 12 die cut stripy tags and 12 die cut hexagon tags (both coloured one side and white the other for writing on), 12 self-adhesive teeny glittered hearts and 12 twist ties. All you need to add are the treats.

For my decorated tag above, I simply stamped the hexagon tag with one of the Petal Parade stamps (yesterday’s featured Sale-a-bration freebie) using Craft White ink and added faux stitching around the edges with the White Chalk Marker (132133).

When I gave one of these treat bags to each of my team mates at the recent Paper Dolls get together, they all commented that they were larger than expected. The bags measure approx. 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and are gusseted so they spread at the sides to hold more. Here’s this one at the side of a regular A6 card, to give you a better idea.

Tomorrow I’ll be back with another sneak peek and another guest designer.
