SAB You’re Lovely sneak peek

you're lovely close up

It’s day 12 of our countdown to Sale-a-bration (it starts 28 January, day after tomorrow). Sale-a-bration is our annual Stampin’ Up! party, with loads of free products. This year we’ll have THIRTEEN! different products to choose from and you’ll be able to get one free for every £45 you spend (with no limits to how many you can collect – spend £90, get 2 freebies etc). I’ve been showcasing a different SAB freebie every day in my countdown.

Today it’s the You’re Lovely stamp set, which includes two label images, two sentiments and one border stamp. The two label images co-ordinate with the Deco Labels Collection framelits.

I used one of the labels and the border stamp to create the belly band for this origami box. This box (which will include a few goodies) will be a prize at my Open House on Saturday 8 February.

you're lovely

The origami box was made with Sweet Sorbet DSP (another SAB freebie) following Tanya Bell’s instructions ( a super talented Australian demo). After stamping the border stamp from You’re Lovely along a strip of Whisper White card using Island Indigo ink, it was coloured with Pool Party and Basic Black markers. This strip was adhered to a strip of Basic Black card and wrapped into a belly band to go around the box.  The sentiment on one of the label stamps reads “I think you’re lovely”. I had mixed thoughts about it because on the one hand, it’s too gushy for me to use in most cases, but being from Yorkshire, I use “lovely” all the time. Smile In the end Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana markers were used direct to stamp, leaving out the “I think you’re”. The label was die cut from the Whisper White card with the smallest Deco Labels Collection framelit (130102) and matted onto a Basic Black Deco Label the next size up. These were popped up on the belly band with dimensionals. A small flower was punched from Pool Party card with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes (118309) and a black Candy Dot (130934) stuck in the centre, this was then adhered in place of the missing words, on the label.

Would you like to win this box (and the surprise contents)? Then make a date to come along to my FREE Open House – and just drop me an email to let me know you’ll be there and I’ll pop a make and take kit on one side for you.
