Fresh Prints origami heart bookmark

There’s just a week to go to Valentine’s Day!

I spotted this cute little origami heart bookmark on Youtube by a lady called Rena (I think) and thought I’d have a go at incorporating it into a Valentine’s Day card. As this was planned as a valentine for a guy, I wanted to mix some more masculine colours with the red. The Fresh Prints DSP Stack was just what I needed.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Crumb Cake matted with paper from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack (132996). A different sheet from the same Stack was cut to a 4″ square and used to fold the bookmark. The valentine sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments  (Wood 130042 or Clear 120024) was stamped onto a narrow strip of Whisper White card with Real Red ink, then matted onto a slightly wider strip of Real Red card, before adhering over the corner. After stamping the sentiment from Perfect Pennants (Wood 133227 or Clear 133230) in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card, it was die cut with a Hearts Collection framelit (125599), then matted onto a larger heart of Real Red card. The arrow for the heart was die cut from Coastal Cabana card using one of the extra framelits that come with the Label Card thinlit set (133479).

Here’s the bookmark up close.

On the inside, another of the Label Card thinlits was used to die cut a sentiment from Coastal Cabana card and adhere it to the Whisper White insert.
