Today I’m using another SUDSOL sketch challenge as inspiration for my card.

This week’s sketch has a few layers:

Sketch229

And this is my card:

by the tide

The card base is an A6 landscape of Calypso Coral. A panel of High Tide DSP (132992) was edged top and bottom with borders of Pacific Point card punched with the Scallop Trim Border (118402). Using Calypso Coral ink, the coral from By the Tide (Wood 131910 or Clear 129120) was stamped onto Whisper White card, followed by the seahorse in Pacific Point, which was then coloured in with the Soft Sky marker. Circle Collection framelits (130911) and the 1-3/4″ Circle punch (119850) were used to die cut/punch out these stamped images, frames from Calypso Coral and Pacific Point card and Window Sheet. A combination of sand and Champagne Glass Glitter (120997) was sandwiched inside the shaker (using a combination of Shaker Frames (124155) and edge pieces of dimensionals to seal it in and) then the complete shaker was adhered to the card front. The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (Wood 130042 or Clear 120024) was stamped in Pacific Point ink onto Whisper White card, punched out with the Word Window (119857) and then matted onto a Modern Label (119849) punched from Pacific Point card before adhering direct to the card front. One of the seashells was fussy cut out of the High Tide DSP, adhered to the sentiment and finished with a Basic Pearl (119247). The shell from the By the Tide stamp set was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White card, fussy cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert a sentiment from Bring on the Cake (Wood 128490 or Clear 121958) was stamped in Pacific Point ink. The script from By the Tide was stamped in Calypso Coral ink after stamping off first each time. Pacific Point ink was used to stamp the anchor seal, again after stamping off once first. Finally the seashell was stamped in full strength Calypso Coral ink.

Quite an involved card today but worth it I think.

Love it. All the fussy work paid off big time. Gorgeous card and one I think that small people would especially love.
