Bright Blossoms birthday card

March 7, 2014

Time for another SUDSOL sketch challenge for my inspiration. This week it’s this:

And here’s my take on it (the vase of flowers looks dark brown but it’s actually shiny gold Smile):

bright blossoms birthday

The card base is an A6 landscape of Baked Brown Sugar. Strips of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape (133000) were added to a mat of Very Vanilla card before running it through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder (free with £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration 133520). The vase and spotty flowerhead from the Bright Blossoms set (Wood 128424 or Clear 125497) were stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Versamark ink (102283) and then heat embossed with Gold EP (109129) and matted onto Baked Brown Sugar card. A sentiment from Express Yourself (hostess set  Wood 130336 or Clear 130339) was stamped and heat embossed in the same way, along the edge of a larger piece of Very Vanilla card and also matted onto Baked Brown Sugar card. The sentiment layers were adhered direct over the top of the Washi Tape and then the vase and flower layers were popped up on dimensionals.

A Very Vanilla insert was embossed with the same Decorative Dots folder, only along one edge and extra lines added from the reverse, using the Score Board. Another sentiment and another vase were stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and individual sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim  (132983) were adhered in place of the flowerheads.

Have a great weekend.
