Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Perfectly Penned Watercolor

April 11, 2014

Today’s card is another CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Impressions, our bimonthly magazine from Stampin’ Up! When you join SU! as a demo you automatically get sent a paper copy of the magazine (and also have access to back issues online), which is full of both business and stamping ideas and inspiration.

The version of the card in the magazine is this one:

And this is how I’ve changed it to a more feminine version:

perfectly penned

The card base is non-standard 4″ x 7″ of Smoky Slate. After stamping the sentiment from Perfectly Penned (Wood 128703 or Clear 122892) in Basic Gray ink onto the top of a panel of Whisper White card, the bottom portion was covered with Watercolor Wonder DSP (132994). A tiny strip of Tangerine Tango card was adhered across the top of the DSP before adhering all the layers to the front of the card. Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126879) was folded into a bow and then Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine (125573) was tied through a Subtles Designer Button (130030) and the ribbon together. This was then fastened to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

Another of the Perfectly Penned sentiments was stamped on the Whisper White insert and strips of DSP and Tangerine Tango card were adhered across the bottom.

I’ll be back soon to share the envelope I made to hold the card.

Have a great weekend.
