Easter mini milk carton

April 19, 2014

mini milk carton close up

Here’s a last little share of an Easter project from me this weekend (I have a guest crafter tomorrow). Today’s dinky sweet treat uses the Mini Milk Carton die and although it’s not labelled for Easter you can just see the mini eggs inside 🙂

mini milk carton

The Mini Milk Carton (117310)was die cut from Smoky Slate card and the sides were matted with Watercolor Wonder DSP (132994). After using the smallest of the Floral Frames Collection (127012) to die cut an aperture in opposite sides of the carton, the apertures were covered on the inside with Window Sheet (114323) to prevent the eggs from falling out. Itty Bitty flowers  (118309) were punched from Island Indigo card, adhered direct to the front of the carton and finished with Basic Rhinestones (119246) in the centre.

clothespin

A Mini Metallic Clothespin (133320) was used to hold the carton closed and this was decorated with some Bitty Butterflies (129406). One was punched direct from some of the Watercolor Wonder DSP. For the other, the small flowered Papillon Potpourri butterfly  (Wood 132058 or Clear 123759) was stamped onto Vellum cardstock (106584) with Island Indigo ink and then punched out. Both butterflies were shaped along the body of the butterfly and adhered to each other and then to the clothespin with rolled up glue dots.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend.
