Matching box for a 3D card

At the end of last month I shared this 3D card and at the time I mentioned that it wasn’t suitable for posting 🙂

As it also won’t fit easily into an envelope I made a matching box to present it in, using the Simply Scored Board.

The original card is 5″ square and the bow is a little over 1-1/4″ deep. A box base was therefore cut to 8-1/8″ square and scored at 1-1/2″ on each side. The corners were snipped and folded in and adhered in place. A box lid was cut to 8-1/4″ square and still score at 1-1/2″ on each side – this results in the lid being that bit bigger, to fit easily over the box base. Semi-circle finger grips were punched in opposite sides of the lid using the 1-3/8″ Circle. The corners were snipped, folded and adhered, as for the base. A square of Flower Pot DSP (to match the card) was matted onto Whisper White card and Whisper White Organza Ribbon wrapped around opposite corners before popping up on dimensionals on the front of the box. A sentiment from the Label Love set was stamped onto Whisper White card, with Tangerine Tango ink and punched out with the Artisan Label. It was matted onto another Artisan Label, punched from Tangerine Tango card and snipped in half before popping up on dimensionals on the front of the box.

The Score Board makes it a snip to create boxes for any 3D cards 😉
