Sweet Laughter Mother’s Day card

February 21, 2015

Mother’s Day will be here very soon and our Spring/Summer catalogue has a couple of stamp sets especially for the occasion.

This is the Sweet Laughter set of 7 stamps:

What we love about this set, is that there is an image and text for the outside of the card and more text to go on the inside – as well as the greeting.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Coastal Cabana. A layer of Typeset Specialty DSP was sponged around the edges with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks before adhering direct to the card front. Memento Black ink was used to stamp the dictionary definition mother’s day image and sentiment from the Sweet Laughter set onto Whisper White card. A Starburst framelit was used to die cut them out before colouring with Blendabilities (don’t forget you can get some of these free with purchase during Sale-a-bration) from the Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay sets. This was popped up on dimensionals on the card front and a bow of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon added below with a Mini Glue Dot.

The second part of the dictionary definition sentiment and the Mother’s Day greeting were stamped on the Whisper White insert.

Mother’s Day in the UK this year, is Sunday 15 March, so there’s still time to get hold of this set in time to create your own Mother’s Day card.

I love what you did with this card! I do a weekly round up of amazing cards and I’d love to share this on my blog for ‘My Crafty Friends Monday’ next week! Please let me know if you would prefer that I didn’t share it (of course I give you credit and link back to your blog!).
