Cutie pie birthday box

You can get these cake slice boxes either as part of the Sweet Stack Project Kit or make your own individual ones using the Cutie Pie thinlits. Either way they’re a great method of packaging a gift.

I used the Cutie Pie thinlit set to create this one.

Two of the cake slice pieces were die cut from Very Vanilla card. Using Crumb Cake ink, the hearts cake layers from the Sweet Stack stamp set were stamped three times on the box sides, taking care to stamp in alternate directions as one cake piece will form the top and one the bottom. Rose Red ink was used to stamp the Happiest Birthdays sentiment on the top of the box before it was assembled. Two candle halves were die cut from Gold Foil, cutting one from the front of the foil and one from the back to get mirror images to be adhered together. These were added to a 1/2″ Circle punched from Rose Red card and then popped up on a dimensional on the top of the cake slice.

A bow was die cut from Rose Red card and adhered above the fastening.

The candle pieces and the bow are extra little dies that come with the Cutie Pie thinlits.

These would be great to make for party favours and display as a full cake but even an individual slice is a fun way to present a gift.

Thanks for stopping by.
