Watercolour Flurry

October 9, 2015

This quick card doesn’t require any precision painting. Once the embossed snowflake is in place you can let the ink spread and flow across the watercolour paper as it will.

You will need to be patient enough to wait for the watercolour paper to dry before punching and assembling your card … but you could always heat set it if you don’t want to wait 😀

The card base is an A6 portrait of Pool Party. After stamping the sentiment from Flurry of Wishes near the base of the card front using Island Indigo ink, the card front was run through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling embossing folder. Using Versamark ink, the medium snowflake from the stamp set was stamped onto Watercolor Paper and then heat embossed with White EP. An Aquapainter was used to add a blend of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Night of Navy inks over the top. After the Watercolor Paper had dried thoroughly it was punched on the corners using the Curvy Corner Trio, then popped up with dimensional onto a mat of Island Indigo and then popped up on the card front.

On the Whisper White insert the duo of small snowflakes were stamped across the corners with Pool Party and another sentiment from the set stamped in Island Indigo.

I’ll be back soon with other projects using the same stamp set but giving a totally different look.
