Hearth and home Christmas card

November 13, 2015

I hope that this Friday 13th brings you nothing but good luck!

The Hearth & Home thinlits from the Autumn/Winter catty is one of those items that I know I’m going to use year round. It creates a cute window frame and window box/shelf/mantelpiece. You can buy it in a bundle with the Happy Scenes stamp set to create Halloween/harvest/winter/Christmas scenes but you can also combine it with other stamp sets and thinlits as we did here.

The great thing is that you can be looking outside from within a room (that’s wallpapered as here) or you can be looking inside from without (perhaps with a Brick Wall embossed background) – so many possibilities 🙂

The card base is an A6 portrait of Cherry Cobbler, matted with two sides of the same piece of Merry Moments DSP and the join covered by a thin strip of Whisper White card. Using Versamark ink, a sentiment from Jingle all the Way was stamped and heat embossed with White EP. A mat of Night of Navy was cut to fit behind the window and stamped with the moon and stars from the same Jingle all the Way set, in Craft White ink. The Hearth and Home thinlits and Sleigh Ride edgelits were used to die cut Whisper White card and the houses adhered direct to the stamped mat and then the window popped up on dimensionals over both, before adhering direct to the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from Jingle all the Way was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and a dinky Christmas tree added with Old Olive ink.

Have a great weekend.

Sara xx
