Window box in Lemon Lime Twist

June 11, 2017

Have you met our new In Colors yet? Each year we have a refresh of a small set (of 5) colours so that we are able to stay on trend. This year our new colours are:

  • Powder Pink
  • Fresh Fig
  • Berry Burst
  • Lemon Lime Twist
  • Tranquil Tide

I knew I would love Lemon Lime Twist from the moment I saw it! It’s a great way to add a little zing to projects and add contrast to some of the darker colours.

Here I teamed it with Early Espresso to make a bright and cheerful birthday box.

The box base was die cut from Early Espresso with the Window Box thinlits. Next a large piece of Lemon Lime Twist card was covered on one side with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and the backing left in place. The heart squares and the hexagon top from the same thinlits set were die cut from the backed card and then the backing peeled off to adhere the shapes in place before assembling the box. A sentiment from Number of Years was stamped onto a strip of Whisper White card with Early Espresso ink and a few flowers from the same set added in Lemon Lime Twist ink. The strip was then die cut with the banner ends from the Window Box thinlits which also add the fold lines as well as die cutting the banners. The banner ends were adhered to the top of the box so that the banner stands proud.

What do you think? Do you like the Lemon Lime Twist?

Sara xx
