Window Box Birthday card

June 16, 2017

A few days ago we shared a Window Box made in an Early Espresso and Lemon Lime Twist combo. It proved pretty popular on Pinterest and so we decided to make a birthday card to go with it.

The card base is an A6 of Early Espresso. A card front layer of more Early Espresso was die cut with the Window Box Thinlits, stamped with a sentiment from the co-ordinating Window Shopping stamp set using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Copper EP. Copper Trim was wrapped around the layer and a bow of the same Trim tied on to it. A panel of Lemon Lime Twist card was adhered direct to the card front before popping the finished card front layer up on dimensionals over the top.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment and cake motif from the same Window Shopping set were stamped in Early Espresso ink and the flower motif added to each corner with Lemon Lime Twist ink.

The Copper Trim ribbon can be pulled apart to create a netting effect which is what we did with just the bow element here.

We’re loving this colour combo – does it make anyone else think of Chocolate Limes? 🙂
