Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Moving birthday card

July 16, 2017

Today is my hubby’s birthday and I wanted to create a card with some movement so I turned to the You Move Me bundle.

This amazing stamp set and die bundle creates images that seem to flutter. This short video from SU! shows how this works.

This birthday card has a fluttering hummingbird.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Tranquil Tide. A mat of Pool Party card was die cut with the shutter window from the Move Me Thinlits. This mat was adhered on three sides to the card front, leaving an opening at the top. Tip – I adhered it direct and the panel fits a bit too snugly, I’d recommend adding a tiny gap by using dimensionals. A sentiment from the Window Shopping set was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink onto a panel of Whisper White card. This was adhered direct to a mat of Tranquil Tide card and then direct to the card front. On a panel of Whisper White the two striped hummingbirds from the You Move Me set were stamped, one in Tranquil Tide and one in Bermuda Bay. Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon was attached to the top of the slider to allow the card to be pulled through. The large flower was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White card and die cut out. A stamen die cut from Crushed Curry card was adhered to the centre of the flower. Leaves were stamped onto Pear Pizzaz card with Tranquil Tide ink and die cut out. The flower and leaves were popped up on the card front with mini dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert, sentiments from the You Move Me set were stamped with Tranquil Tide ink and the full hummingbird stamped with Pool Party ink.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sara xx
