Spooky Night Treat Topper

September 9, 2017

Did you take a look at the Halloween card on Thursday and think “it’s okay but I never send Halloween cards”? If so I can totally relate. I don’t send Halloween cards either. But … that card can so easily be turned into a treat topper and I do give out Halloween treats 🙂

I actually take part in trick or treat in our neighbourhood but even if I didn’t, I still have a nephew and friend’s children that I give Halloween treats to, so there’s plenty of use for this project there.

The treat topper is a small square card (3″ x 3″) of Basic Black. A piece of the Spooky Night DSP was cut and trimmed (2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″) to mat onto the card front. Using Smokey Slate ink, the owl from the Spooky Cat set was stamped over the branch. Pumpkin Pie ink was used to add the beak and claws. Basic Black ink was used to stamp the eyes and the sentiment. After filling the Cello Bag with sweets (take care not to overfill or the topper can’t sit flat), the top was folded over and secured closed with Tear and Tape. More Tear and Tape was then used to adhere the card over the top of the bag.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Sara xx
