20 days of paper projects – day 17

October 28, 2017

On to Day 17 of our 20 day series of projects using patterned paper (also known as Designer Series Paper or DSP for short). Today we’re using our paper to decorate a Mini Pizza Box.

I opted for an image of candles on the lid of the box as I intend to put a set of 4 tea lights inside as a Christmas gift for a friend.

I’ll be sharing tips for how to decorate the box while flat on my Facebook page on Monday so if you don’t already follow Crafting and Stamping on Facebook please pop over and Like or Follow us there so you don’t miss our extra tips.

Before assembling the box, the sides of the base and the top of the lid were covered with Christmas Around the World DSP. The outline candles from Merry Patterns were stamped on to Whisper White card with Basic Black ink. Using Crushed Curry ink, the flames were stamped over the top. Real Red ink was used to stamp the foreground candle patterns and then Old Olive ink was used to stamp the background candle patterns and a sentiment from the set at the base of the candles before die cutting out the stamped images with Layering Ovals framelits. A mat of Real Red card was die cut out with a larger Layering Ovals framelit, the two adhered together and then popped up on the box lid with dimensionals.

Other options to go inside the boxes include 3″ x 3″ mini cards, chocolates, a cookie. What would you like to receive in one of these?

Enjoy your weekend and the extra hour in bed in the morning.

Thanks for stopping by.
