Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Color Me Happy congrats card

November 7, 2017

Back today with another card from the Color Me Happy project kit, this time a congratulations card.

The eagle eyed amongst you may notice that my card isn’t quite the same layout as the example shown in the kit (top left corner below).

The shaped piece of card is provided in the kit and when I started stamping and colouring it I hadn’t realised that I’d got the piece back to front – the narrow edge should be at the top. However … I like the happy accident, as I’m happier with the banner showing completely against the dark background 🙂

What do you think?

For this card I used the following Stampin’ Blends; dark Pink Pirouette and light Pink Pirouette. The kit has a press out piece for the banner, a ready cut main panel (check which way round you want it 😉 gold foil tape and sequins.

The flower from Color Me Happy was stamped with Memento Black ink onto the shaped white panel from the Color Me Happy Project Kit. It was coloured with the Stampin’ Blends. The Rich Razzleberry card blank from the kit was folded and the Gold Foil Tape applied behind the shaped panel which was adhered direct. Memento Black ink was used to stamp the sentiment from the stamp set onto the press-out Pink Pirouette banner. Dimensionals were used to pop up the banner on the card front and then sequins were added to finish it.

The kit contains a ready made and decorated envelope to match.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
