Picture Perfect Bow birthday card

January 5, 2018

Today’s birthday card combines the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set with True Gentleman DSP to create a more masculine look.

Can I share a secret? But you can’t rat me out to Stampin’ Up! lol. We got the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set for free at convention in November and I wasn’t all that impressed. But free is free right, so I didn’t say no 🙂 It’s fast becoming one of my new favourites! It’s so versatile, with great sentiments and not just brilliant for birthdays but also great for congratulation cards and weddings.

The card base is a small square of Tranquil Tide. A card front layer of True Gentleman DSP was stamped with a sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White EP. The paper was then cut into four pieces and adhered direct to the card front. Using Crumb Cake ink, the main bow from the same stamp set was stamped onto Whisper White card. Tranquil Tide ink was used to stamp the shadows over the main image. After fussy cutting out the bow it was popped up on the card front with dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert another sentiment from the set was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink. Using Crumb Cake ink and stamping off first for a paler shade, the “candle” was stamped horizontally to form the party blower. The frill was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink and the stripes and the coil were stamped with full strength Crumb Cake ink.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.
