Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Lots of Lavender card

January 27, 2018

A different Sale-a-bration freebie to share with you today. This time it’s the Lots of Lavender set. You can get this set free with a £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration.

This is a two step stamp set with two outline stamps and a group of fill stamps. The fill stamps do not match exactly but are intended to give a watercolouring effect. I tried them out for this card but I’m a bit of a perfectionist and don’t like going outside the lines 😀

I’ll probably stamp with the outline stamps and colour them in by hand in future.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Wisteria Wonder, matted with Bundle of Love Specialty DSP. Using Basic Gray ink, the outline bunch of flowers was stamped onto Very Vanilla card. The flowers, leaves and bow were added by stamping over with the fill stamps using Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral inks respectively. This was then die cut out with a Stitched Shape oval framelit. A slightly larger Layering Oval was used to die cut a mat from Wisteria Wonder card. After adhering the two together directly they were popped up on the card front with dimensionals.

On the Very Vanilla insert, a sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms set (another Sale-a-bration freebie) was stamped in Basic Gray ink. The other outline stamp from the Lots of Lavender set was stamped above and below the sentiment with Basic Gray ink and filler stamps were stamped over the top with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz ink.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you so much for the great idea for a card. I will try to email you the one I made. I’m not real good on the computer, so hope for the best.
