Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Wizarding birthday card

February 5, 2018

One of the fabulous new suites in the Spring Summer catalogue is the Myths & Magic suite. In addition to a stamp set and framelits there’s also co-ordinating Glimmer Papers, Washi Tape and Specialty paper with glittered designs on one side.

It’s a set full of mythical creatures including a dragon, mermaid, unicorn and dragon. But today I’ve just used the wizard.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Fresh Fig. Using Versamark ink, a sentiment from Magical Day was stamped onto a panel of Myths & Magic Specialty DSP and heat embossed with White EP. The panel was adhered direct to the front of the card and two skinny strips of the Iridescent Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper were adhered either side of it. Using Tuxedo Memento Black ink, the wizard from the set was stamped onto Whisper White card, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then die cut out with the Magical Mates framelits. Mini dimensionals were used to pop the wizard up on the card front and a Clear Faceted Gem was added as a crystal ball, to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, sentiments from Perennial Birthday and star clusters from the Magical Day set were stamped in Fresh Fig ink. A strip of the Myths & Magic Specialty DSP used on the front was adhered across the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
