Heartfelt Blooms reverse spotlight card

February 11, 2018

Today’s card uses a reverse spotlight technique for the sentiment.

It lines up two different shades of the beautiful photographic Heartfelt Blooms image. Heartfelt Blooms is a beautiful stamp set that you can get free with a £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Berry Burst. Using Berry Burst ink, the flower image from Heartfelt Blooms was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card. The same image was stamped again onto a scrap of Whisper White using Powder Pink ink and die cut out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes framelits. After matting the main stamped panel onto Berry Burst card it was adhered direct to a card front layer of Powder Pink card. A panel of Berry Burst DSP was adhered direct to the card front layer below the stamp and matted panel. Berry Burst 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon was wrapped around the DSP layer and fastened behind before adhering the full card front direct to the card front. A bow of the same ribbon was add to the centre of the wrapped ribbon with Mini Glue Dots. Using Berry Burst ink, a sentiment from Heartfelt Blooms was stamped in the centre of the ice cut circle. This was then lined up with the original image and popped up on dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert, a strip of the same DSP used on the front was adhered across the bottom and the flower image was stamped again with Powder Pink ink.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.
