Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Dashing deer swirls Christmas card

October 14, 2018

Today’s card is inspired by a sample in the Autumn/Winter catalogue (the one on page 8, lower right corner) but as usual I’ve switched mine around a little.

I was so thrilled to see the return of Shimmer Paint in the Autumn/Winter catalogue and I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to “get my spritz on” again – lol.

The colour combo is Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and metallic Copper but it’s mainly Vanilla and Copper as the Soft Suede is only used on the inside.

The card bas is an A6 portrait of Thick Very Vanilla. A card front layer of (standard) Very Vanilla was spritzed with a Stampin’ Spritzer filled 2/3 full of rubbing alcohol mixed with a couple of drops of Bright Copper Shimmer Paint. After letting the spritzed card dry for a few minutes so that it was only just damp, it was run through the Big Shot with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder before adhering it direct to the card front. A skinny strip of Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper was adhered above and below the textured panel. Using the Detailed Deer thinlits, a stag was die cut from more Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and popped up on the card front with dimensionals. A portion of a sentiment from the Dashing Deer set was stamped with Versamark ink onto a strip of Very Vanilla card, heat embossed with Copper EP, flagged and popped up on the card front with dimensionals.

On the inside of the card, another sentiment and an image from the same Dashing Deer set were stamped in Soft Suede ink.

I’ll try to show you the lovely copper sheen close up.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sara xx
