Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Joyous Noel diamond Christmas card

October 21, 2018

Turning squares around slightly, not only gives a diamond shape rather than square but also allows you to stamp sentiments that might not fit otherwise.

The mini diamonds on either side of the main sentiment provide balance and a little extra colour depth.

The colour combo is Sahara Sand, Merry Merlot and Metallic Copper.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Sahara Sand, matted with Merry Merlot card and Joyous Noel DSP. A sentiment from Merry Christmas To All was stamped onto Sahara Sand card using Versamark and heat embossed with Copper EP. This was die cut out with the largest square Stitched Shapes framelits in a diamond rotation. Smaller Stitched Shapes squares were die cut from more Sahara Sand card and heat embossed with the holly leaves from the same stamp set. Teeny holly berries were punched from Merry Merlot card (I used the buttons from the Cookie Cutter punch but there are many alternatives) and adhered direct to the holly leaves. The smaller squares were matted onto Layering Squares die cut from Merry Merlot and then all were popped up on dimensionals on the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, more sentiments from the Merry Christmas To All set were stamped in Merry Merlot ink. A strip of the same DSP from the front, was adhered to the right side of the insert and a skinny strip of Merry Merlot card adhered alongside.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.
