Kinda Eclectic fireworks

Wednesday night was our Inspiration Meeting – a get together of our team to share ideas, create samples for a card class and also to celebrate each other’s successes. One of our Paper Dolls team had achieved her promotion to Bronze 2 and so I made her this card.

The card base is an A6 of Basic Black. Another layer of Basic Black was first dusted with the Embossing Buddy and then stamped with the Congratulations sentiment from Sassy Salutations in Versamark ink. This was covered with Pool Party Emboss Powder and heat set. The sun ray design from Kinda Eclectic was stamped in opposite corners, again with Versamark ink, this time covered with Heat and Stick Powder and heat set. Silver Glitter was poured over, tapped off and then heat set again gently to embed the glitter into the adhesive. The same process was followed in the alternate opposite corners, this time using the Gold Glitter.

Here’s a close up of the glitter.

On the inside, a sentiment from the Bravo photopolymer set was simply stamped with Memento Black ink.

There’s an excellent compensation plan with Stampin’ Up! with increasing perks and freebies for those who want to progress to higher levels – there’s no pressure though, for those who simply want to get a bit of a discount for themselves and a few friends Smile

Well done Catherine, on your promotion!

If you’d like to join the team too, then you can come along to our next Inspiration Meeting, or do a little online research and check out the benefits here  (extra! during Sale-a-bration) but if you just can’t wait, then you can go ahead and sign up now!

Bravo on reaching Bronze 3

bravo close up

Woo-hoo indeed! Last night was our monthly Paper Dolls team meeting and we got to celebrate the promotion of one of the team to Bronze 3 (what that means for her is that she’ll get a FREE product credit when the next catty comes out and she’ll get increased commissions on her team sales).

We celebrate all team promotions at our meetings, but since Suse is one of my direct team (she joined Stampin’ Up! through me) I also gave her a reward for her promotion (a glittery pack of metallic and glitter paper, ink and trim). And of course a card …

bravo

The card base is an A6 portrait of Smoky Slate, matted with some of the FREE Sale-a-bration Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP that was inked with Bermuda Bay. A sentiment from the Bravo stamp set was stamped onto Whisper White card with Basic Black ink and framed with an On Film frame die cut from Basic Black card, before popping up on dimensionals on the card front. Two Itty Bitty Accent stars punched from Silver Glimmer Paper were added to the corners. Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon was wrapped around a strip of Smoky Slate card and adhered direct to the card front and then a Basic Metal Button, tied with the same ribbon was added on Mini Glue Dots to finish.

The Whisper White insert was punched with the Confetti Stars Border punch (available again in the Spring/Summer catty) and another sentiment from the Bravo set was stamped in Smoky Slate ink.

Sale-a-bration is a great time to join our team whether you want to aim for promotions or not (there’s no pressure 🙂 ). As well as the usual starter kit savings (choose £130 of product for just £99 and get postage free) you also get a choice of:

either a free project kit from the Spring/Summer catalogue

or any two Sale-a-bration items!

Plus, joining Stampin’ Up! through me during Sale-a-bration earns you a spot at my Sale-a-bration CELEBRATION in April!

This will be a very special event where I will spoil you! Popcorn, treats, Specials, BOGO, stamping make-n-takes, gifts, games, prizes and more!

It takes place Saturday, 18th April. (If you qualify and can’t attend, I will mail you the make-n-takes and gifts that will be passed out!).

If you’d like to have a chat before signing up (which I’d recommend so that I can answer any questions you may have) just email me and I’ll give you a call to chat about all the kit options.

Paper Dolls team training

downline meeting

A very quick (and late) post today but I just wanted to share what a fun evening I had last night with my Paper Dolls team.

We’ve recently resurrected the full team training events, rather than the more informal get together’s that we’ve been having and although there were only a few of us in number last night, I think we more than made up for it with the sharing and crafting.

We had an up close and personal look at the Many Merry Stars kit and all agreed that you really need to see them IRL to see what a great kit it is.

tags class

We worked through a full “box of tags” class idea for our make and take (I’ll be adding the class to our calendar above very soon), possibly enjoying the crafting bit a little too much … as we then had to rush the business ideas section but we still managed to cover it all 🙂

To make sure that those who couldn’t make it/aren’t local to me, don’t miss out, I’ll be running an online version of the meeting through a team Facebook Group very soon.

Our next team training will be on Wednesday 3 December and we welcome guests. Come along and see what it’s like to be a member of our Paper Dolls team 🙂

Just email me to let me know you’re interested and I’ll set aside a make and take with your name on and confirm the venue.

Paper Dolls September Team Get Together

paperdolls new

The Paper Dolls will be having a team get together this Sunday 21 September. We’ll be meeting up at 10am at Meadowhall, Sheffield.

This is a chance for our team to share the latest news, our latest designs, plan future events (the Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention is next month and a bunch of us are going) and generally have a good catch up session.

If you’d like to come along and find out more about what’s involved in signing up with Stampin’ Up! and find out how the hobby demos and business demos get the most from their membership, then this is a great way to do it. If you’ve been a demo before and would like to know about rejoining, then please come along – everyone’s welcome!

Just email me to let me know you’re interested and I’ll tell you where the meeting point is.

Save money on your wish list

2014cattybutton

How are you loving the new catalogue? Have you put together a wish list yet?

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I was able to pre-order from a selection of new products which was fantastic, but even I didn’t get chance to choose from the whole range. Now that the catalogue has launched, I’m starting to work my way down my own wish list … and it’s long, lol. I’m spreading the cost over the next few months but I placed a pretty big order straight away on the 1st 🙂

I have suggested that one way you can spread the cost of your wish list is to join my Stampers 6 Club.  Now, as I’ve just had a couple of lovely (and cost savvy 😉 ) ladies join my team and another ready to sign up later this week, it’s prompted me to remind you that this is another fabulous way to make your wish list more affordable.

starter kit

When you join Stampin’ Up! you get to choose £130 of products for your starter kit (completely your choice from any of the current products) and you pay just £99 – so immediately you get up to £31 of goodies for free. Then, you’ll get 30% Instant Income (think of it as discount) on your first order if you place it within 45 days and you also get a minimum 20% Instant Income for any further orders you place after that, while ever you remain an active demonstrator. In addition to that, Stampin’ Up! also have special programmes just for new starters and regular incentives open to all demonstrators, giving you plenty of chances to qualify for free stamp sets in addition to the commissions you earn. Sweet!

I’ve pulled together some of the basic information about the benefits of signing up here and I’d love to have a chat with you if you’re interested, but if you just can’t wait, then you can go ahead and sign up now! You can do it quickly and easily online with just the following information:

  • Personal contact information
  • Credit card payment information

I’d love to welcome you to my team and help you save money into the bargain! Hope to hear from you soon.
