Today’s card is CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the new 2014-15 catalogue but it uses items (with the exception of the star punch) that are already available to everyone.
That’s one of the great things about our catalogues – they’re full of ideas and inspiration that you can use for your own creations, either copied entirely or given a new twist. Don’t have a stamp set or a paper? Simply substitute one from your own stash. Our new catty has 250 pages choc full of great ideas.
I’ve started sending out/delivering the new catalogue FREE of charge to existing customers. As promised in our recent newsletter, if you place an order with me (direct or online), of £40 or over, during June then I’ll also add you to my delivery list (those that have – your catties are on their way!). The other two ways to get a copy for FREE, are to book a workshop (email me to agree a date) or join my Stampers 6 Club.
If you prefer to buy a copy of the catalogue, no strings attached, then the cost is £3 (including P&P), just let me know you that you prefer this option when you email and I can send you a Paypal invoice or we can agree another method of payment.
On then to today’s card.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Coastal Cabana, matted with more Coastal Cabana card which was first run through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder (127821). A Whisper White tag created with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (133324) was stamped with sentiments from Bootiful Occasions (Wood 131967 or Clear 126597) in Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate inks, colouring them direct to stamp with markers. Stars from the Project Life Point and Click Photopolymer set (135787) were stamped in Calypso Coral and then Silver Baker’s Twine (132976) was tied on in a bow before popping the tag up on dimensionals on the card front. After stamping the cowboy boot from Bootiful Occasions onto Crumb Cake card with Whisper White Craft ink, it was allowed to dry and then fussy cut out and popped up on dimensionals on the tag. Finally a star from the upcoming Itty Bitty Accents punch pack was punched from Silver Glimmer Paper (124005) and adhered to the boot.
On the inside, another sentiment from Bootiful Occasions was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink and more of the stars were added down the edge in Calypso Coral ink.
The card I CASEd is on page 137 of the new catty if you want to compare it when you get your copy 😉

Today’s mini gift tag/card gives a few sneak peeks from the new catty (less than a fortnight to go now until it launches and I’ll be sending out copies to my customers tomorrow)!
You get a peek of some new Maritime paper, a new sentiment stamp set (fourteen sentiments arranged in seven pairs, as well as three mini images; heart, star and four leaf clover) and a punch (from a trio of punches to match the mini images in the sentiment set) – all packed onto an itty bitty tag 🙂
The tag is a 3″ x 3″ mini card of Night of Navy, matted with a strip of Maritime DSP. One of the new sentiments from a set called Something to Say was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card and die cut out with a Banner framelit (132173) that was then trimmed down slightly. This was attached to the front of the card at the top with Washi Tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack (135301) and popped up on a dimensional behind. Finally after stamping the mini heart from the same Something to Say sentiment set, in Real Red ink onto Real Red card it was punched out with the Heart from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and popped up on a sliver of dimensional.
On the inside, the other half of the sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink and a teeny strip of the other side of the paper was adhered across the insert.
I can’t wait to show you more of the sentiments in the Something to Say set, they’re really sweet.

Yesterday I shared my first Project Life scrapbooked page and I’m looking forward to sharing this and showing it to to my friends and customers in real life because I’m impressed at how truly easy it is to do. But I also know my friends and customers well and I know that they won’t easily be converted … so I want to show what else you can do with the Project Life Card Collections (these are primarily journaling cards) – just in case they decide not to carry on scrapbooking. All is not lost or wasted because these supplies are also fabulous for card making.
The card collection costs £13.50 and has 100 double sided, colour-co-ordinated cards that come in 3 sizes (to coincide with the size of pockets in the page protectors):
- 4″ x 6″
- 4″ x 4″; and
- 3″ x 4″
Spoiler alert – there are one or two sneak peeks further down.
I decided to use the Project Life Card Collection to put together a card for this week’s sketch challenge over at SUDSOL.
And this is my card:
An A6 portrait card base of the new In Color, Hello Honey*, was matted with a card from the Everyday Adventure PL Card Collection (135298) that had been trimmed slightly to fit. This was then stamped at the bottom with a sentiment from a new stamp set, Something to Say, in Tangelo Twist* (another new In Color). Another, smaller card from the Everyday Adventure PL collection was trimmed narrower, to fit the sketch, then stamped with a sentiment from Perfect Pennants (Wood 133227 orClear 133230) in Tangelo Twist ink. This was matted onto Tangelo Twist card and wrapped with some Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon before popping up on diemsnionals on the card front. A bow of the same ribbon was added with Glue Dots to finish.
* (The colours in the collection are actually Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie but I’m enjoying the new In Colors at the moment)
On the inside, the other half of the sentiment and some flowers from the Something to Say set were stamped in Tangelo Twist ink.
Although the stamp set and the In Color items won’t be on sale until 1 July, you can order the Project Life Card Collection along with some other Project Life items already.
Have a great weekend.
The concept of Project Life scrapbooking is that it’s quick and simple. I decided to give that a test drive today.
At Christmas we went to Austria for a short break and we visited Swarovksi Crystal Worlds. It was an amazing place – beautiful grounds, clever and quirky exhibitions and a fantastic shop – all very sparkly of course and we took plenty of pix … which we haven’t done anything about!
So, can Project Life get me out of that rut?
I chose a page protector from the Variety Pack Pocket Pages (135294) first (the top left in the pic below) so that I knew which way round I needed my photos (portrait or landscape).
Then I printed my photos out on the home printer (choosing and printing then was definitely the longest part) and slotted them in to the page protector.
After selecting a card from the Everyday Adventure Collection (135298), I added a little bit of journalling with a Strawberry Slush marker and decorated with some Flower Shop (Wood 132727 or Clear 132726) and Petite Petal (Wood 134821 or Clear 134822) flowers and quite a few Basic Rhinestones (119246) (they’re so very sparkly – just like the Swarovski crystals).
It took me around 10-15 min to put the page together. It really is that easy!
I think I’m converted. It will be a great excuse for hubby and I to look back through all our old photos.
Some say scrapbooking takes too much time. And it can do … the old way.
But Project Life is quick, easy and has a fresh approach. It couldn’t be simpler: slip photos, mementos, and journaling into an album with Photo Pocket Pages. That alone will give you fabulous results (no scissors or glue required)!
And for those who don’t do simple, you can embellish your photos or cards with Project Life accessory packs or stamps. Our accessory packs are designed to coordinate perfectly with our card collections which makes stepping things up super simple.
For those who have come across Project Life already, it’s the same great concept – since we’ve partnered with it’s creator Becky Higgins … and we’ve combined it with the quality and colour matching and combining that Stampin’ Up! is renowned for.
Project Life has now landed at Stampin’ Up!
There will be a full line of Project Life products available in the Annual Catalogue when it launches 1 July, but we’re offering a selection of that range from today – a full three weeks early!
