An idea for a masculine thank you card

Masculine thank you card close up

My monthly newsletter has gone out today. If you’ve signed up for it then please check your mailbox just in case it dropped into the spam folder.

Meanwhile, I’ve another card to share with you.

Masculine birthday cards can be difficult enough, so what do you do when you need a masculine thank you card?

I suggest cutting back to a plain and simple design. A little “metalwork” beefs it up a bit and I’ve put the sentiment on the inside so it isn’t too “mushy” Wink

Masculine thank you card

Recipe
Stamp set: Motor Cycle (W117657)
Cardstock: Cajun Craze (121683), Basic Black (121688), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Basic Black (101179), Pumpkin Pie Marker (105115)
DSP: Brights Patterns Stack (117155), Regals Patterns Stack (117154)
Other:  Metallic Brads ( 119741), Crystal Effects (101055)
Tools: Mat Pack (105826) Paper-Piercing Tool (116631)

The base card is a 10.5cm square and strips of matching striped DSP in contrasting colours have been added to one edge. The bike itself has recieved the “glossy paintwork” treatment by colouring it in, covering it with Crystal Effects (applied straight from the container using the nozzle) and leaving it to dry to a high varnish finish. (You can probably see it best in the photo at the top of the post).

The inside has a bit of detail too:

Inside of masculine thank you card

Recipe
Stamp set: Motor Cycle (W117657), Sincere Salutations (W105156)
Cardstock:  Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Basic Black (101179), Basic Gray (109120)

Again I toned down the “mush” factor by selectively inking the “Thanks” from the “Thanks so much” sentiment in black. The bike was stamped in Basic Gray.

Hubby liked it but what do you think? Please leave me a comment and let me know.
