The Animal Stories is ideal for use on baby cards but I also think it makes great birthday cards for any age. Here I’ve kept it bright and sunny by teaming it with the Sunny Garden DSP.
The following items used on this card are retiring but still available (for now):
- Animal Stories stamp set
- Sunny Garden DSP
- Very Vanilla 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
- Hodgepodge Hardware
I think you know the drill by now if you want to order any of these 🙂
Recipe
Stamp set: Animal Stories (W116716), Something to Celebrate (Hostess level 2) (W121897 or C121955)
Cardstock: Peach Parfait (121692), Daffodil Delight (121680), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink:Â Peach Parfait ( 119783), Poppy Parade (119782)
DSP: Sunny Garden (119831)
5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon: Very Vanilla (109055)
1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon: Daffodil Delight (120928)
Other: Hodgepodge Hardware (111325)
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049)
Two sides of DSP were cut and matted onto Daffodil Delight card and the seam was covered with Very Vanilla ribbon then with Daffodil Delight ribbon with a silver slider on it. These layers were matted onto the Peach Parfait card blank. The sentiment was stamped out in two steps using Poppy Parade ink, direct to the DSP, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement. This was matted onto more Daffodil Delight card and popped up on dimensionals. The giraffe was stamped with Peach Parfait ink onto Very vanilla card, cut by hand with a narrow margin around the image and then popped up on dimensionals onto the DSP frame.
This bright and cheery card would also work well as a Get Well card I think.
Another “retiring” card tomorrow.
