No sewing fabric card

One of the brand new product ranges hitting our catalogue this year is the Designer Fabrics. These are so pretty! Each pack includes three different designs, each approx. 68.6cm x 45.7cm.

But if you’re like me then you might not want to get the sewing machine out to use them. No problem, I have more than a few ideas for using the fabric – no sewing involved!

Here we have a simple card:

fabric ribbon card

Recipe
Stamp sets: Sincere Salutations (105156)
Cardstock: Real Red (106578), Blushing Bride (121690)
Textured Cardstock: Whisper White (121078)
Ink: Real Red (103133)
Designer Fabric: Candy Cane Christmas (121715)
3.2mm Taffeta Ribbon: Real Red (119251)
Other: Brights Designer Buttons (119747)

The card base is a 5″ square of Real Red. A mat of Textured Whisper White card was stamped with the sentiment in Real Red ink and adhered direct to a mat of Blushing Bride card. A strip of Candy Cane fabric had the raw edges tucked under  and was adhered behind the top of the mats with Sticky Strip. Real Red 3.2 Grosgrain Ribbon was threaded through one buttonhole, round the fabric and back through the other buttonhole before tying in a bow. With the button in place the other end of the fabric was adhered behind the bottom of the mats which were then adhered to the card front. (Adding the button before adhering the other end of the fabric, helps prevent the mats from buckling).

A real designer card and no sewing!

Thanks for stopping by.
