Today has been hugely busy – in a good way
A quick dash to Elsecar Craft Fair this morning to drop off and help set up a little, then onwards to a deliver a workshop (fab time thank you ladies), then back to Elsecar again. Then when I got home I decided that before I chill on the sofa with Strictly, I’ve just got to make a card showing some of the lush goodies I’ve put together in my Winter Elegance Share. I’ve been waxing so lyrical about these that I think that even my customers and friends are starting to think I’ve gone a bit strange (and they understand the paper stroking obsession)!
But I’ll let you decide – are these scrummy or are they scrummy?
Recipe
Stamp sets: Faith in Nature (W122490 or C122492) (Hostess exclusive set)
Cardstock: Crumb Cake (121685), Basic Black (121688), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Versamark (102283)
DSP: Mocha Morning Specialty (122366)
Punches: Modern Label (119849), Word Window (119857)
Crochet Trim: Victoria 5/8″ (118481)
Other: Antique Brads (117273), Gold EP (109129)
Tools: Embossing Buddy (103083), Heat Tool (110197)
The card blank of Crumb Cake was matted with one of the Mocha Morning papers. After matting a strip of flocked DSP onto some Basic Black card, a little of the Crochet Trim was wrapped around and secured on the reverse. A faux bow was added over the Trim using an Antique Brad to secure it. This layer was then adhered direct to the card front. The image and the sentiment were stamped in Versamark ink onto Very Vanilla card (brushed first with the embossing buddy), covered with Gold EP and then heat embossed. After matting and layering the flower image onto Crumb Cake then Basic Black card, it was popped up on dimensionals onto the card front. The sentiment was punched with the Word Window and matted onto a Modern Label punched from Basic Black. It was adhered direct to the flower layer at one end popped up on a dimensional at the other.
Quick to make but full of beautiful textures.
And for those I’ve been wittering onto recently – I tried not to think too hard about it and just cut away at the paper! Now that it’s been cut into, it’ll get easier
If you’d like some of the supplies I’ve used, then please take a look at the Share that I’m offering here.
