A traditional christmas card in contemporary colours

Today I’ve gone for one of the traditional Christmas images from the Welcome Christmas stamp set but opted for a more contemporary colour scheme (and couldn’t resist adding a little lushness with some of my share products).

Recipe
Stamp sets: Welcome Christmas (W118736 or C120597)
Cardstock: Basic Black (121688), Cherry Cobbler (121681), Whisper White (106549), Brushed Silver (124918)
Ink: Versamark (102283)
Punches: Scallop Trim Border (118402)
Striped Grosgrain Ribbon: Basic Black (115615)
Other: Antique Brads (117273), Black EP (109133)
Tools: Embossing Buddy (103083), Heat Tool (110197)

The main image was stamped in Versamark onto Whisper White card (brushed first with the Embossing Buddy) and then heat embossed with Black EP. This was matted onto Basic Black card and then a Scallop Trim Border punched from our new Brushed Silver card was added top and bottom of the mat. Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was wrapped around the left edge of a large mat of Cherry Cobbler and then the other end was trimmed to a banner and secured with an Antique Brad. This mat was adhered direct to the front of the Basic Black card and the the main image was popped up on dimensionals.

Stamp sets: Welcome Christmas (W118736 or C120597)
Cardstock: Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Basic Gray (109120), Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler Markers (119806)

Another traditional Christmas image from the Welcome Christmas stamp set was stamped in Basic Gray ink (stamped off once onto scrap and then) onto a Whisper White insert. The sentiment was coloured direct to stamp with the Basic Black Marker. Then because I’d caught another part of the image (that I didn’t want) I covered this up with a couple of ruled lines of Cherry Cobbler Marker Wink

Have a great weekend.
