Sweet Snowglobe can make a quick and simple card

November 9, 2011

snowglobe xmas card - close up

The single Sweet Snowglobe stamp will work with the Circle Treat Cups. I’m certainly looking forward to making a card with that combination in the future, but this stamp is also great for a very quick Christmas card when you need one.

I’m finding that I turn to the Petite Pairs sentiment set often now. This sweet little set has sentiments that will fit inside so many of the punches and as the sentiments come in pairs, there’s one for the front of the card and one for the inside (if you choose to use them that way Wink).

Recipe
Stamp set: Sweet Snowglobe (W120868), Petite Pairs (W122495 or C122497)
Cardstock: Island Indigo (124390), Pool Party (124391), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Island Indigo (122937)
Ruffled Ribbon: Island Indigo (122974)
Other: Clear Rhinestone Brads (113144), Dazzling Diamonds (102023)
Tools: Mat Pack (105826), Paper Piercing Tool (116631)

The card base is a square of Island Indigo. A square mat of Whisper White card was stamped with the Sweet Snowglobe and the sentiment in Island Indigo ink. Multipurpose Liquid Glue was applied to all areas of “snow” on the snowglobe and then covered with Dazzling Diamonds. Once dry the image was matted onto Pool Party card, then Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon was wrapped around one corner and a faux bow secured over it with a Clear Rhinestone Brad before adhering the layers direct to the card front.

How speedy is that!
