The Perfect Pennants and the Perfect Punches stamp set are the perfect duo for creating a quick Christmas wreath card. Here I’ve teamed them with and taken my colour cue from the Holly DSP.

Admission – I made a bit of a mistake here. I stamped onto Whisper White card and I would have done much better to use Very Vanilla which tones with the DSP. Never mind – I’ll do that next time.

I also got to use one of the new range of coloured embossing powders on this card. You don’t get the full effect in the pix (probably best in the close up at the top) but you get that lovely raised sheen from the heat embossing. It just gives that extra professional finish.

The card base is a square of Wild Wasabi. This was matted with Real Red card and the holly DSP.  The slightly larger scalloped medallion was die cut from Wild Wasabi card using the Perfect Pennants and the Big Shot. Real Red Taffeta Ribbon was threaded through and adhered behind and a dinky bow was attached at the top with a glue dot, before popping the wreath base up in the centre of the card front with dimensionals. The Christmas sentiment from the Perfect Punches stamp set was stamped once in Versamark and once in Real Red ink, both onto Whisper White card (should have been Very Vanilla). The Versamark version was covered with Wild Wasabi EP and heat embossed before punching out the centre with the 1-3/8″ Circle. The Real Red version was punched out with the Scallop Circle. These were adhered together and popped up on more dimensionals in the centre of the wreath base.

The Very Vanilla insert (remembered at this point!) was stamped with sentiment from Petite Pairs and decorated with the small holly from the Tags Til Christmas set, both in Wild Wasabi ink. The holly berries were coloured over the top with the Real Red marker.
