If you’re anything like me then you may be needing some quick and simple cards right around now … and they don’t come too much more quick and simple than this. This card started as a bit of an experiment with the new coloured embossing powders that I haven’t got around to playing with yet.
(Sorry that the colours are a bit off, we haven’t had any real daylight round here today – very dark and dismal).
I was very impressed though, at how well the Tempting Turquoise EP shows up against dark cardstock. Can’t wait to play some more now that I’ve got started
Recipe
Stamp set: Season of Joy (110384)
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy (108606), Tempting Turquoise (108598)
Ink: Versamark (102283)
Punches: Scallop Oval (119856), Large Oval (119855)
Other: Tempting Turquoise EP (122950)
Tools: Heat Tool (110197)
The card base is a 5″ square of Not Quite Navy. The tree was stamped with Versamark onto another, slightly smaller square of Not Quite Navy card, covered with Tempting Turquoise embossing powder and embossed using the Heat Tool. This was then matted onto Tempting Turquoise card and adhered direct to the card front. After stamping the sentiment in Versamark onto a scrap of Not Quite Navy card and heat embossing again with Tempting Turquoise EP, this was punched out with the Large Oval. The sentiment was matted direct to a Scallop Oval punched from Tempting Turquoise card and popped up on dimensionals on the card front.
Easy!
Off to try something else out and I’ll share the results tomorrow …
