The idea for this card is simple enough and it’s certainly a quick make, but I think that here, simple is striking – what do you think?
I love how it’s turned out and I plan making a set of these soon, with all the different coloured embossing powders.
Recipe
Stamp set: Fine Flourish (115709), Oval All (113790)
Cardstock: Basic Black (121688), Melon Mambo (119980)
Ink: Versamark (102283)
Punches: Extra-Large Oval (119859), Large Oval (119855)
Other: Melon Mambo EP (123223)
Tools: Heat Tool (110197), Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049)
The card base is a small square of Melon Mambo card. A smaller mat of Basic Black was stamped with the Fine Flourish using Versamark and heat embossed with Melon Mambo EP. The centre of the Flourish was punched out with the Extra-Large Oval (the design helps to get it centred). Dimensionals were used to pop the mat up on the card front. The thank you sentiment from the Oval All set was stamped on a scrap of Basic Black card with Versamark, heat embossed with Melon Mambo EP and punched out with the Large Oval. This was popped up on dimensionals in the centre of the aperture.
Recipe (insert)
Stamp set: Fine Flourish (115709),
Cardstock: Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Melon Mambo (115656)
For the insert, the Fine Flourish was stamped just down one side of the Whisper White card using Melon Mambo ink.
And of course I retained the portion of the embossed mat that I punched out, to use as an embellishment in the future
… waste not, want not.
Please stop by tomorrow for our new Mini Catalogue launch and blog hop – sharing lots of inspiration for using the lush new goodies. The hop goes live at 10am tomorrow. Hope you have some Christmas pennies left!
