Have you seen the cupcake stamp set and punch duo in the new mini catty? Aren’t they just the perfect pair for creating easy birthday cards?
But can a cupcake be used for a masculine card? I think so. How about you?
I always enjoy using a chocolate and vanilla combo, whether I’m designing for men or women, but I think that using it here and keeping the layout clean and simple, helps to give that more masculine feel to the card.
Recipe
Stamp sets: Create a Cupcake (W121915 or C121982)
Cardstock: Chococlate Chip (108599), Crumb Cake (121685), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908)
Punches: Cupcake Builder (121807)
The card blank is a square of Chocolate Chip, matted with Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card. A cupcake case was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla card, punched out with the Cupcake and popped up on a dimensional on the card front. Cupcake frosting was punched from Very Vanilla card and sprinkles were stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. A cherry was punched from Chocolate Chip card and adhered direct to the top of the frosting which was then popped up on a dimensional on the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip card onto a strip of Very Vanilla. This strip was trimmed with a horizontal “V” at each end and curled over a bone folder to create the banner before adhering each end a little way in on the card front to retain the shaping.
