I have a guest designer this Valentine’s Day – my dear sweet hubby! This is the card he made for me.
I’m so impressed at the quality of his cardmaking these days. He designs and makes everything himself, just helps himself to my supplies and occasionally asks me how to achieve a certain look. I love this non-traditional colour combo – it has some of my favourite colours.
Recipe
Stamp set: Liebe, Love, Amour (W126129), Valentine Love (W122695 or C122697)
Cardstock: Pool Party (124391), Wisteria Wonder (124389), Elegant Eggplant (108614), Calypso Coral (124392)
Ink: Wisteria Wonder (122936)
Punches: 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle (118874), Small Heart (117193)
Other: Designer Printed Brads (122940)
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049)
The card base is an A6 portrait of Wisteria Wonder. A mat of Wisteria Wonder was punched with the new, large Scallop Circle from the Mini Catty and then punched along the bottom and corners with the Small Heart. The Scallop aperture was used to position the Liebe, Love, Amour stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink onto a mat of Pool Party. This stamped mat was adhered direct to the card front and then the aperture layer was popped up on dimesnionals over the top. The sentiment was stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink onto Pool Party card. This was matted onto Elegant Eggplant card and decorated with Wisteria Wonder Designer Brads on either side before popping up on dimensionals on the card front.
