It’s a busy birthday week for me this week. Today is my friend and teammate, Hazel’s birthday.
Happy Birthday Hazel. Hope you’ve had a great day and are treated right royally!
I wanted something a little different for Hazel’s card and this is what I came up with:
Recipe
Stamp sets: Petite Pairs (W122495 or C122497)
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy (108606), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Not Quite Navy (103008)
DSP: Pocketful of Posies (122354)
Punches: Scallop Oval (119856), Large Oval (119855)
3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon: Not Quite Navy (122978)
Crochet Trim: Victoria (118481)
Embossing Manhattan Flower (114517)
Other: Antique Brads (117273)
Tools: Big Shot (113439), Sponge Daubers (102892)
The card base is an A6 portrait of Not Quite Navy. A mat of the Pocketful of Posies DSP was put through the Big Shot using the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and then all the raised lines were sponged with a dauber using Not Quite Navy ink (any large open areas within the flower petals were also given a little extra sponging). All the edges of this embossed DSP may and a plain Very Vanilla mat were also sponged with more Not Quite Navy ink before they were adhered together. The corners were wrapped with Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon and a faux bow of Victoria Crochet Trim was secured with an Antique Brad before the mats were adhered direct to the card front. After stamping the sentiment in Not Quite Navy ink onto Very Vanilla card, it was punched out with the Large Oval, sponged around the edges and adhered direct to a Scallop Oval punched from Not Quite Navy card before popping up with dimensionals on the card front.
Back with another friend and teammate’s birthday card again tomorrow and no, you don’t have to have a birthday this week to join the team
Sara xx
