Today’s card is the one that my customers in June received with their orders.
I’ve given the full recipe below and you could easily make a little set of these in different colours to box up as a gift for someone. They don’t actually say “Thank you” on them, so could be used for other occasions too.
Recipe
Stamp set: Mixed Bunch (W125535 or C125537)
Cardstock: Island Indigo (124390), Pool Party (124391), Vellum (106584)
Ink: Island Indigo (122937), Versamark (102283)
Punches: Blossom (125603), 3/4″ Circle (119873)
Baker’s Twine: Island Indigo (125575)
Other: Mini Brads (122941), Silver EP (109131)
Tools: Simply Scored (122334), Heat Tool (110197), Embossing Buddy (103083), Paper Piercing Tool (116631)
The card base is a 3-1/2″ square of Pool Party. A 3-1/4″ mat of Island Indigo was scored at a 1/4″ in on all sides (tip – it’s easier to pop it on the Simply Scored Board and score at 3″, turning it each time, than try to score at the 1/4″ mark). Island Indigo was wrapped around this mat three times and secured on the reverse. Vellum cardstock was wiped with the Embossing Buddy to prevent stray specks caused by static and oils and was stamped with the dotted petal flower in Versamark and then heat embossed with Silver EP. This flower was then punched out with the Blossom. Another Blossom was punched from Pool Party card. The small circle flower from Mixed Bunch was stamped in Island Indigo ink onto Pool Party card and punched out with the 3/4″ Circle. These layers were stacked together and secured with a Mini Brad which was also used to gather the threads of Baker’s Twine on the Scored mat. Finally, the mat was popped up on dimensionals on the front of the card.
Here’s a batch of the cards waiting to be sent out.
Thanks for stopping by.
